Hi, I’m Katie!

I’m a mom of three, photographer, creative, and the person behind Katie Kiriakos Photography. I specialize in children and family photography designed to capture the little personalities, genuine connections, and beautiful chaos that make your family uniquely yours.

I’ve always been drawn to photography because of the way a photograph can freeze a moment in time. The tiny details you might not think twice about today become the things you treasure years from now. The crooked smiles. The missing teeth. The little hands. The belly laughs. The way your child reaches for you.

Those are the moments I want to preserve. And if you saw my camera reel on my phone, you'd agree I take entirely wayyyy too many photos on a daily basis!

A little about my style

I like my photography bold, colorful, playful, and never watered down. I love creating images that feel intentional and beautifully styled while still leaving plenty of room for your family's personality to take center stage. I want your photos to feel polished and creative, but never so perfect that they stop feeling like you.

I LOVE props. Give me a gorgeous backdrop, an oversized prop, a little bit of drama, ruffles and textures, and we'll be best friends. From thoughtfully designed themed minis to colorful studio setups with mass amounts of glitter, I love creating an experience around the photograph, not just a pretty background.

And yes, I'm also not afraid of color. While neutrals have their place, I believe childhood should be fun, expressive, and a little bit extra. Bold colors, unexpected details, playful styling, and creative concepts are all part of what makes my work mine.

But while the setup might be carefully planned, the moments that happen within it don't have to be. Kids wiggle. They wander. They make silly faces. They refuse the outfit you picked out. They need a snack five minutes in. Dad might be acting up. That's okay.

Because some of my favorite images happen in those completely unplanned, in between moments. The little grin. The goofy face. The way they reach for you. The moment their personality comes out and you think, “Yep. That's my kid.”

Fun Facts About Me

I love being outside.
And yes, sometimes I actually leave the camera at home.

My favorite food is cheese.
Honestly, this one doesn't need much explanation. But any cheese besides bleu cheese (🤮).

I'm basically undefeated at Boggle.
Netflix Boggle, specifically. I take it very seriously and am in fact, the Big Dog.

I LOVE throwing themed parties.
If there's an opportunity to pick a theme, decorate excessively, and coordinate entirely too many details, I'm probably already planning it.

I'm super EXTRA for my kids.
Birthdays, holidays, surprises... I don't really know how to do anything halfway.
